February 2019 Meeting recap

Hello! We had our February meeting on Saturday, February 16 at 10:00 am. We were small but mighty!

Our goal to start on time is totally working! We did start at about 10:02, but I think that's okay because sometimes clocks are slow, haha

Our Treasurer, Donna Hansen, would like to remind everyone that dues are due! Dues for the year are staying at $35/year and you can paypal us at nebomodernquilters@gmail.com or write a check to Nebo Modern Quilters and give it to Donna or Natalie.

We have a Charity Board member -- hurray! Tiffany Searle, who was our president last year, agreed to take over the Charity position.

Debbie Camp introduced our Challenge -- it will be for the Color of the Year, using either Kona Splash or the Pantone Color of the Year, which is Living Coral. Quilts must finish at least 36" square, and be COMPLETELY completed.

Denise Hone will introduce our next Swap next month.

Kira Holladay sent around the UFO list again. Remember, you have until April to sign up with your UFOs -- figure out what you want to finish this month! The first UFO will be due in May. If you would like to email your list, you may send it to nebomodernquilters@gmail.com.

Our meeting next month will be Saturday, March 16th, and we are VERY PLEASED to announce that Johnny Barfuss will be coming to do a trunk show! He is a really fun, modern quilter who lives and works just up the road from Utah County. If you're interested in checking out his work, you can link to his Instagram HERE. Also, for our President's minute we will be discussing any trends you see -- in quilting, in colors, in home decor. Be on the lookout!

See you next month! ❤ Natalie :)
